City Council Minutes – December 2016

Minutes of the Greenland City Council December 12, 2016

Meeting called to order at 6pm. Those in attendance: Mayor Groom, Stephanie Sharp, Eric Bryant,

Kendra Croddy, Bill Yoes, Justin Reed, Chief Ricker, Danny Wright and various guests. Danny Dutton came in after court and police report. Lisa Thornton came in late.

Motion by Reed, 2nd by Bryant to approve the November’s council minutes. Motion passes 5-0.

Motion by Reed, 2nd by Forrester to approve the November’s treasurer's report. Motion passes 5-0.

The mayor presented the planning commission report.

Mayor Groom presented the building inspector report: no permits pulled.

Chief Ricker presented the court and police report.

Ordinance #323 first reading: Motion by Dutton 2nd by Yoes to read Ordinance #323 by title only.

Motion passes 6-0. Mr. Wright complied. Motion by Dutton 2nd by Bryant to approve the first reading of ordinance #323. Motion passes 6-0.

Resolution 12-12- 2016A 2017 Budget- Motion by Bryant, 2nd by Reed to read resolution 12-12- 2016A by title only. Motion passes 6-0. Mr. Wright complied. Motion by Dutton, 2nd by Forrester to approve resolution 12-12- 2016A. Motion passes 6-0.

Resolution 12-12- 2016B Court appointments- Motion by Dutton, 2nd by Bryant to read resolution 12-12-2016B by title only. Motion passes 6-0. Mr. Wright complied. Motion by Dutton, 2nd by Yoes to approve resolution 12-12- 2016B. Motion passes 6-0.

Resolution 12-12- 2016C Tap Grant- Motion by Dutton, 2nd by Forrester to read resolution 12-12- 2016C by title only. Motion passes 6-0. Mr. Wright complied. Motion by Dutton, 2nd by Forrester to approve resolution 12-12- 2016C. Motion passes 6-0.

Resolution 12-12- 2016D Animal Shelter- Motion by Dutton, 2nd by Bryant to read resolution 12-12-2016D by title only. Motion passes 6-0. Mr. Wright complied. Motion by Dutton, 2nd by Bryant to approve resolution 12-12- 2016D. Motion passes 6-0.

Mark Myers has moved from Greenland. The mayor declared a vacancy in Ward 4 Position 2.
Applications taken until January 4.

Announcements: ARML meeting- Need RSVP’s tonight.

Motion to adjourn ay 6:50 by Thornton, 2nd by Bryant. Motion passes 7-0.
