March 10, 2025 Council Meeting Minutes

 

Meeting called to order at 6:00pm

Mayor Jim Renfrow, Recorder Treasurer Misty McCard, Police Chief Craig Stout,

City Attorney David Hogue, Code Enforcement Larry Norman, Jermaine Petty, Lisa Thornton, Bill Yoes, Diane Reed, Carly Farinella

Absent- Rebecca Lawson, Travis Whisenhunt, Chal Ragsdale

Announcements/Comments- Mayor Renfrow stated that there will not be any action taken on Ordinance 398- Drake Landing PZD at this meeting.

Lisa Thornton motioned to approve February 2025 minutes, Jermaine Petty 2nd motion. Passed 5-0

Lisa Thornton motioned to approve February treasurer’s report, Diane Reed 2^nd motion. Passed 5-0

Court & Police Report-Chief Stout gave report.

Code Enforcement Report/Building Inspector Report-. Larry Norman gave report.

Planning Commission Report- Brenda Reynolds gave report.

Update on Wastewater System Rehabilitation Project– Mayor Renfrow gave update.

New Business:

IT Upgrade- Gene McCartney with Computer Consultants of NWA discussed IT upgrade recommendations and cost.

Ordinance 397- Fire Department Key Boxes- Lisa Thornton motioned to read Ordinance 397 by title only, Bill Yoes 2nd motion. Lisa Thornton motioned to approve Ordinance 397, Diane Reed 2nd motion. Jermaine Petty-yes, Lisa Thornton-yes, Bill Yoes-yes, Diane Reed-yes, Carly Farinella-yes    Passed 5-0 

Resolution 3-10-2025A- Condemnation of 395 Parker- Lisa Thornton motioned read Resolution 3-10-2025A by title only, Diane Reed 2nd motion. Lisa Thornton motioned to approve Resolution 3-10-2025A, Bill Yoes 2nd motion.  Passed 5-0
