Minutes of the Greenland City Council February 13, 2017

Meeting called to order at 6pm. Those in attendance: Mayor Groom, Stephanie Sharp, Eric Bryant,  Larry Forrester, Danny Dutton, Beckey  Center, Bill Yoes, Pat Lindabury, Justin Reed, Chief Ricker, Danny Wright and various guests.  

Motion by Dutton,  2nd by Forrester to approve the January’s  council minutes. Motion passes 7-0.

Motion by Dutton,  2nd by Forrester to approve the January’s  treasurer’s report. Motion passes 7-0.

Brenda Reynolds presented the planning commission report.

Mayor Groom presented the building inspector report:  2 final inspections done.

Chief Ricker presented the court and police report.

Bo Bittle with Stephens Inc did a presentation on how procedure for acquiring bond money for our sewer system.

Ordinance #323 third reading: Motion by Reed 2nd by Center to read Ordinance #323 by title only.  Motion passes 7-0. Mr. Wright complied.  Motion by Reed  2nd by Dutton to approve the third reading of ordinance #323. Motion passes  7-0.

Animal Shelter Contract: Motion by Bryant, 2nd by Dutton to read Resolution 02-13-2017A by title only. Motion passes 7-0. Mr. Wright complied. Motion by Bryant, 2nd by Dutton to approve Resolution 02-13-2017A. Motion passes 7-0.

Amending 2016 budget: Motion by Dutton, 2nd by Bryant to read Resolution 02-13-2017B by title only. Motion passes 7-0. Mr. Wright complied. Motion by Dutton, 2nd by Bryant to approve Resolution 02-13-2017B. Motion passes 7-0.

Mayor declared an opening on the planning commission. Michael Moore moved out of town.  

Mayor presented some information on the penny sales tax/bond money.

Citizen comment: Concern of trash in creek in Lee Valley. Mayor stated he had recently been made aware and is working on it.

Motion to adjourn ay 6:44 by Bryant, 2nd by Center. Motion passes 7-0.
