January 10, 2022 Council Meeting Minutes 

Meeting called to order at 6:03pm 

Those in attendance Mayor Groom, Misty McCard, Jim Renfrow, Diane Reed, Bill Yoes, Jermaine  Petty, Rebecca Lawson, Chal Ragsdale. Jim Renfrow. Lisa Thornton, Larry Forrester,- absent 

Comments- Diane Reed concerned about house #12 Wilson St discussion and wanting to know about if  the BBQ business license renewal for 2022. Jim Renfrow mentioned discussing with the citizen and  setting a timeline on the brush pile on #12 Wilson st. 

Jim Renfrow motioned to approve December minutes, Chal Ragsdale 2nd motion. Passed 6-0 December treasurer report- will review in February due to one page being unable to be fully viewed. 

Court & Police Report-Chief gave report. Tyler Underwood went to Greenland School District Police  Department and hired Katelyn Griffin. 

Building Inspector Report- Troy Enochs gave report. Discussion regarding on 391 S. Napier Dr and  getting updates on any building permits for this metal building. 

Planning Commission Report- Brenda Reynolds gave report. 

Committee Report-none 

Unfinished Business: 

Update on Wastewater System Rehabilitation Project- Nick Batker with McClelland Consulting  Engineering gave update. Status update in the packet. 

Treasurer Retirement Information-discussion and look to the Municipal League for guidance on this  subject and discuss in February. 

Notice Requirement Discussion- discussed information 

Competitive Bidding Ordinance 357-tabled for February meeting

New Business: 

Resolution 01-10-2022- Cantique Task Order 2022-001- Jim Renfrow motioned to read Resolution 01- 10-2022 by title only, Chal Ragsdale 2nd motion. Passes 6-0 

Jim Renfrow motioned to approve Resolution 01-10-2022, Chal Ragsdale 2nd motion. Passes 6-0 

Planning Position-Mayor Groom re-appointed Brenda Reynolds to Planning Commission.  Jim Renfrow motioned to re-appoint Brenda Reynolds and Charlotte Carnes, Jermaine Petty 2nd motion. Passes 6-0  

Announcements-none  

Citizen comments- none  

Jim Renfrow asked for the list of Business License that have been paid to be put February’s council  packet.  

 Rebecca Lawson motioned to adjourn, Bill Yoes 2nd motion. Passed 6-0  

Adjourn at 7:25pm
