June 8, 2020 Greenland City Council Minutes

Meeting called to order at 6:00pm.

Those in attendance Those in attendance Mayor Groom, Misty McCard, Larry Forrester, Lee Guthrie, Beckey Center, Rebecca Lawson, Bill Yoes, Diane Reed, Justin Reed, attorney Josh Bailey and various guests. Absent- Lisa Thornton

Pledge of Allegiance 

Lee Guthrie motioned to approve May’s minutes, Larry Forrester 2nd approval of minutes. Passes 7-0

Treasurer’s report- Rebecca Lawson motioned to approve May’s treasurer report, Lee Guthrie 2nd the motion, Passes 7-0.

Court and Police Report- reports in the packet, Gary stated if anyone had any questions they could email or call him.

Building Inspector Report- reports in the packet. 

Planning Commission Report- Brenda spoke regarding the Accessory Structure Code. Brenda and Josh Bailey will get together and discuss the Accessory Structure Code. 

Committee Reports: none

2019 Audit- Discussion- all Council members acknowledged getting an Audit report for 2019.

Ordinance 346 Authorize Electronic Transfers- 

Beckey Center made a motion to read the 1st Reading on Ordinance 346 to Authorize Electronic Funds transfers by title only, Rebecca Lawson 2nd the motion. 

Motion passed 7-0

Beckey Center motioned to pass the 1st reading of Ordinance 346 to Authorize Electronic Funds transfers, Larry Forrester 2nd the motion. 

Motion passed 7-0

Citizen’s Comments: Citizen commented on the mosquito issue in her neighborhood and would like to have the City help with this issue. The Mayor said the City will put out more mosquito pellets to help with this issue. 

Beckey Center motioned to adjourn, Lee Guthrie 2nd the motion. Passes 7-0
