June 14, 2021 Greenland City Council Minutes

Meeting called to order at 6:00pm

Those in attendance Mayor Groom, Misty McCard, Larry Forrester, Jim Renfrow, Chalon Ragdale, Bill Yoes, Justin Reed, Diane Reed, Attorney David Hogue and various guests. 

Rebecca Lawson and Lisa Thornton absent. 

Comments-Citizen raised her concerns pertaining to a vacant house on Parker Street. The City and the Building Inspector plans to look into this issue. 

Jim Renfrow motioned to approve May minutes, Diane Reed 2nd motion. Passes 5-0

Jim Renfrow motioned to approve May treasurer report, Larry Forrester 2nd motion. Passes 5-0

Court & Police Report-report handout was given to Council.

Building Inspector Report-Troy Enochs gave report. Troy Enochs discussed the inspections done on vacant houses. 

Planning Commission Report- Brenda Reynolds gave report. Discussion on building permit fees.

Committee Report- Justin Reed and various other council members discussed flooding issues.

Ordinance 353- tabled 

Mayor Groom introduced Pamela Skinner as our new Receptionist/Secretary for City Hall. 

Bill Yoes motioned to accept McClelland Consulting Engineers, Inc. as our Engineering firm for the Wastewater System Rehabilitation project, Justin Reed 2nd motion. Passes 6-0

Jim Renfrow motioned to adjourn, Larry Forrester 2nd motion. Passes 6-0
