Minutes of the Greenland City Council March 12, 2018
Meeting called to order at 6pm. Those in attendance: Mayor Groom, Stephanie Sharp, Eric Bryant, Larry Forrester, Danny Dutton, Beckey Center, Lisa Thornton, Bill Yoes, Patricia Lindabury, Justin Reed, Chief Ricker, Danny Wright, Carole Jones and various guests.
Motion by Reed, 2nd by Forrester to approve the February’s council minutes. Motion passes 7-0.
Motion by Reed, 2nd by Forrester to approve the February’s treasurer's report. Motion passes 8-0.
Brenda Reynolds presented the planning commission report. Discussion of future deadlines for planning in regard to citizens with questions.
Building Inspector Report: No inspections done
Chief Ricker presented the court and police report.
Engineer updates: Carole Jones said the basketball court at the community center is coming along. The sewer project is moving along. The 50/50 design has been completed. We are in the final design.
Culver Property Update: We closed on the property February 28 th . We are in discussion with the owner of the service station to acquire that 1 acre.
Ordinance #328 Sewer Contract Amendment: Motion by Thornton, 2nd by Reed to place ordinance #328 on third and final reading by title only. Motion passes 8-0. Mr. Wright read it.
Motion by Thornton, 2nd by Reed to approve the third reading of ordinance #328. Motion passes 8-0 Mayoral Updates: Bathrooms at the community center have been remodeled and are ADA compliant.
Lights at Taylor Park are getting closer to completion. The mayor talked to Lazenby properties about the possibility of zoning their property on Lily industrial. Mr. Lazenby thought that would be a good idea.
Nothing has been finalized.
Motion to adjourn at 7:16 by Bryant, 2nd by Thornton. Motion passes 8-0.
