Planning Commission Meeting Minutes
Monday, December 4, 2017
6:00 PM at City Hall
The Commission reserves the right to reprioritize its consideration of the items on the agenda.
Commissioners present: Brenda Reynolds, Bill Yoes, Charlotte Carnes, Lee Guthrie, Paula Schoonover. Called meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
Motion made by Commissioner Yoes, seconded by Commissioner Carnes to add presentation for Mr. Baker’s discussion of lot split. Passed 5-0
1. Presentation for lot split: Taylor Baker, 324 S. Napier Street, facing Shadow
Drive, no address yet since it hasn’t been split. House with 1.1-acre lot split off
from rest of property to be sold as one lot, 1.26 acres. Has already been sold but
not finalized. Chairman will be contacting City Engineer and including Mr. Baker
on the communications.
2. Zoning Use Chart
Everything allowed in a commercial zone, allowed in an industrial zone.
Commission changed Zoning Use Chart per discussion.
Motion with changes discussed, made by Commissioner Schoonover,
Commissioner Carnes seconded. Passed 5-0.
Motion that planning commission recommend to council for Industrial Zone
being the west quarter quadrant of the RE Zone, north city limits area. Leave the
SW sliver of Lillie Lane as is, made by Commissioner Carnes, seconded by
Commissioner Yoes, Passed 5-0.
3. Alcohol Code Update
City Attorney Wright submitted email to Chair Reynolds of last edits of Alcohol
Code. Chair Reynolds to make changes and presented by to Wright.
Motion to read minutes: Commission Schoonover, seconded by Commissioner Carnes; passed 5-0.
Motion to approve minutes: Commissioner Carnes; second by Commissioner Guthrie, passed 5-0
