Members Present: Michelle Cate, Bill Yoes, Hunter Collins, Brenda Reynolds, Charlotte Carnes, Ben Maddox

1. Planning Area Expansion Discussion

• Mayor Renfrow has informed the PC that it has been roughly 10 years since the last planning area expansion. The intent is to ensure the city’s planning area is extended to maximize the City’s input for areas outside the city limits. Having the additional area in the City of Greenland’s planning area allows the city to ensure city standards and future expansion intent are met. The PC has requested the City Council proceed with steps to expand.

2. Oakcrest Travel Center

• Jonathan Griffin to present. The applicant’s intent is to construct a 10,000 sqft travel center. Twelve gas pumps and three diesel pumps are to be installed. They currently run locations in Fort Smith, Arkansas. They will offer food products with interior and exterior dining, as well as drive thru and pickup. There will be four parking stalls for large vehicles and is not intended for overnight stays. This will be a 24/7 facility. The developer has agreed to cost share the upgrading of the sewer lines on West Wilson St.
